Scenic Jacksonville Endowment to Protect and Enhance Scenic Beauty in Jacksonville
Created in honor of William D. Brinton to advance the scenic beauty of Jacksonville, Florida through education, policy and citizen engagement.
William D. ‘Bill’ Brinton served as a Trustee of The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida for twelve years, and was chairman from 2014-2015. When he learned that he had a terminal illness, he set out to create a permanent fund at The Community Foundation to continue his life’s work—preserving and protecting his beloved and beautiful Jacksonville. The Scenic Jacksonville Endowment to Protect and Enhance Scenic Beauty in Jacksonville will ensure that there is perpetual funding for the things he held most dear: civic engagement, advocacy and education to preserve the natural beauty we cherish. The endowment will benefit Scenic Jacksonville.
